Does anybody know what the 93 ECM part number is?
GMPartsdirect shows 2 - 88999128 & 01226870 I tried to email them without a response all day.
Neither number matches what is in my car now, 93, Auto, Coupe, Lt1.

Thanks, that is the number on my ECM. GMPartsdirect says it is an Old / Discontinued part number that has been superseded.

Hmmm....... interesting, where do we go from here? Don't suppose GM Parts Direct was kind enough to provide the superseded number?

Here is a link to a company I found that indicates they have remans, I did not call to verify, when I checked Blue Streak they show nothing. I seem to recall yours still functions but gives a communication error? If you find a source please let me know and also if it cures your issue.

Thanks, They want 200.00 core and don't list a price. I think I'll wait a few days and see what GMPartsdirect says, they want 75.00 and 65.00 core.
Thanks again for looking and helping!

That is a good price, here is another link in case GM Parts Direct lets you down, good luck.

16159278 would be the P/N for a new unit. They don't make them anymore is why it isn't listed.

Reman units would have a different P/N, which is probably what you found, although I don't know why you got 2 different P/N.

You might try the catalog at ac-direct.com

I was under the impression from prior posts over the last year or so that these ECMs have become rare.

The '92 and '93 ECM are the only ones that are batch fire and designed to work with an Opti-Spark low-res and high-res pulse -- that is what makes them unique.
