Greetings, I noticed a couple of months ago that my 85 would hesitate, but very seldom. Yesterday I drove around town, and while idling at a light, it died. Just like killing it with the key... no stumbling, no erratic idle, no error codes. It would start right back up. I could not get it to die while idling in P or N, and it wouldn't die while driving. It runs perfectly otherwise... any ideas?
I rebuilt the TPI 6 or 8 months ago, new FMS injectors, new vacuum lines and afpr with new diaphram. Fairly new fuel filter. It has an MSD blaster coil that's 6 years old, the 6AL totally crapped out 2 years ago.
I removed the TB as a whole, didn't mess with the IAC or the TPS. But I should recheck them anyway I guess. Would either of them cause the car to just shut off?
I had it idling (fairly steady) in Drive at 540-550 RPM for several minutes before it died the first time, then again after about 2-3 minutes of idling just fine. Then again after just a few seconds of waiting for a car to turn in front of me. Then it was fine the rest of the 5 mile drive home.
Almost seems ignition related as fast as the car dies, then immediately fires right back up! Any other ideas?

Ignition module....they get hot and shut down. Either have it checked at Autozone(they said mine was good, when in fact it was fried!), or replace...easy job.
