Default P0100 MAF or VAF circuit malfunction error code - FSM is hiding the fix from me

1996 LT4. SES light comes on and then goes off again after it cycles. Has been happening with increasing frequency. Came on last night, cycled off and right back this morning. Always triggers code above, nothing else. Looking for the troubleshooting process in the FSM but it's impossible to find anything in there. You'd think they'd have some reference to codes in the index of either book but I can't find it. Does anyone know where the Fing F the section covering this is in the FSM or have any actual experience with this and what the permanent fix is? TIA...

BTW: Nothing definitive in the archives on this...

Alright, I found the section in the FSM covering this. I'd still like to hear from anyone who's been through this before, though. TIA...

I finished off all my chocolate eggs so with a little time on my hands, I reveiwed the troubleshooting flow chart in the FSM for this particular error code. Parts wise, it could be the MAF sensor harness terminals, MAF itself or PCM. It could also be caused by a vacuum leak, incorrect PCV valve, oil engine dipstick not fully seated or oil engine filler cap loose or missing. Because it's intermittent, it could be misrouted harness, rubbed through wire insulation or broken wire inside insulation. The FSM says "For intermittance, refer to Symptoms". I'm still trying to figure out where that section is....

Well, I finally found it. It says "Most intermittent problems are caused by faulty electrical connections or wiring." Guess it's time to learn how to use a DVM...

And for those of you following along at home, here's the section out of the FSM on how to troubleshoot a P0100 DTC:
