Default Bilsteins for a vert... different?

Some (but not all) of the sites I've been checking for new Bilsteins (HD, not Sport) for my 94 LT1 convertible, specify that convertibles use the same shock as the Z51 suspension... different than the coupes.

What gives?

I noticed the same thing when shopping for shocks on my Z51. It appears that if you have a Z51 with 16" wheels they recommend the HD shock, which is the same part # as for some verts. If you have a Z51 with 17" wheels they recommend the Sport version for the Z51 but not for verts.

If this is true then you would want the HD Bilsteins not the Sport version.

Is it because verts are just a touch heavier?
