Parking brake help????
I was vacuuming out my car (i just got it yesterday) and i pulled the e brake to vacuum under it, not thinking that i have a friend with an 89 that has ebrake problems. I go to put it down, i dont here it go back down, but the handle does. I start the car to move it and the e brake light is on and wont go away.
What did i do?
how can i fix it?

also, i cant even get the cover off the parking brake assembly, the seats in the way. Do i have to take the seat out?

Pull up on the brake handle like you were going to set it(put tention on the cable) . Then press the button in and let it down, the light will go off. To take the cover off the brake assembly, look under the front of the seat, you will see a bar, (almost looks like a silver wire) push it backwards and then lift the bottom cusion out.

it goes back down so u can get out of the car :) so set it and push it back down. to unset it. step on the brake and push the button in and pull all the way up until u feel it tighten up a bit. then u let it down.
