I have been chasing oil leaks in the front of my 92. The first attempt was the intake manifold which I pulled off without a hitch but I still had leak. OK lets do the front crank seal then. Took it all apart (marking everything) found a bolt missing out of the timming cover and every other one loose. What was the prevous owner doing? Well to make a long story short reinstalled every thing (new jegs hub, new plugs, new wires.) Went to start it up a no start. Well now the second guessing starts. Did I screw up the fire order, did I get coolant in the Opti? After much messing arround such as cleaning out the opti. rechecking to make sure its installed right etc still nothing. So just before I decided to order up a new opti I figure lets make sure its hitting on nbr 1 tdc. take the valve cover off. Take cap and rotor off line up rotor with nbr 1 reinstall opti (all this time I had left the water pump off) and she fires right up. I say wtf go inside and get a beer.
Anyway the reason Im writing all this is durring all this I was able to go to the forum and search the firing order and what wire goes on what tower to confirm I aleast had the order right. For that I would like to thank all forum members who take the time to relate their experiences
