Ok! put heater coil in,not as bad as everybody said 4hours and a sore back and neck. Question I might be having brain cramp but the outside temp works and the fan goes from 1 to 10,but isn't the inside temp suppose to beable to be set at 75 it goes to 90 and 0 what am I doing wrong
Range is 60 to 90 with the settings being: 60, 65 to 85, and then 90. Disconnect and reconnect the battery and it should default to 75 and nothing will operate for a couple of minutes while the Temp Door cycles from fully open to fully closed. If it doesn't return to normal, the Panel is usually the culprit. Was it acting up before you replaced the core?
No it worked fine I'm going out to unhook battery now. Does yours have 10 settings for fan too. 1Thru 10 When I hold the botton in to change Temp it goes 00 or 90
Sounds like it's switching over to the Diagnostic Mode (which is what the 00 means). The procedure to put it there is to depress Auto and Outside Temp at the same time. Make sure the Outside Temp Button isn't sticking - push on it a couple of times.
All Electronic a/c's are the same across all of GM. Subtle differences from '90 up and the '96 Vette uses a unique processor (Programmer), but the controls for each year - Chevy, Pontiac, Buick, Caddy and Olds work the same way and have the same features.
