Default code 43?

I am helping a freind of mine who has a 93 coupe with the Lt 1 ,we had a problem with the motor cutting out at higher rpms after 3 grand it would act like it had a rev limiter. We could not find any codes so we changed the opti, plugs, wires, and coil, problem is still there.so we messed with it yesterday and hooked up a scanner to it and we were able to pull a code 43 when we brought the rpms up past three grand and while the motor was stumbling it would set the code 43.From what we can tell code 43 is the knock sensors,so with the scanner still hooked up we checked the knock sensors by tapping on the block near the sensors and could see that it is sending signals from the sensors back to the ecm.We are assuming that the sensors are ok.and the wiring back to the ecm is good.I am hoping someone can help out here to tell me what where to go from here. Thanks guys

Jim

I assume after all of this has been changed, the same problem exists.

I would check the fuel pressure for possible pump problem. Check fuel filter for a clog also.

Possible ICM defective but not classic symptoms. Only real check for it is substitution for this problem.
