Default I need help!!

ok Im a student, and I am in auto tech, we have a shop at our school and my car has been in the shop for over a week now! because I am replacing my U joints on my shafts to each wheel, not the main dryshaft, im replacing the 2 to each wheel, I got them both taken out got parts put new parts on, but now I can slide them back in!! I tried every different angle and can only get one side in and not the other?? even my teacher can not do it. Is there a certain way to do it?

Default half shafts

try jacking up the wheel by the strut rod to align the rear with the wheel, and see if it will slide in that way. the best way is to have a pit and have the car sit level as if everything were normal, and see if there is more room, I did it with one wheel in the air with one side jacked up
