92 93 Ecm
I have a continuing LOSS OF SERIAL DATA fault. I went through the FSM troubleshooting guide and all it list's is to look for wiring errors. I looked for a new ECM, NONE TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE. I found a used ECM from a 92 on EBAY. It is coming with the eprom. The seller said it is an automatic, so is my car. What other info is on the eprom? Can I just plug in the ECM and run the car to test for codes or do I need to install my eprom? How much of a chance am I taking swapping them, damage to eprom or ECM?

As long as it is out of a Corvette, and not an F-body, you should be fine with the eprom in there. Swapping is easy though if you want to be sure. The F-body eprom has a different knock filter, but will still work.
