I asked him about this a couple of times. ET stayed the same, but he lost 1 mph through the traps.
I couldn't find anyone else with similar experience.
I can't understand how you could loose anything hp or torque, not unless the stock engines need a little backpressure or something. It's just seems like the general rule when you open up an exhaust you gain.
Thanks for input. From the few sound clips I've heard, I cannot wait to get them on!
My lovely wife who absolutely adores a nice weather weekend drive advised the car is entirely too quiet & not "mean" enough! I told her I knew exactly how to remedy that!
wow well i wish i had a women like that, wlel im glad everyone is happy, i cant help but to keep my foot on the gas 24/7, great sound. i want louder tho...later guys
Installed a complete unrestricted system on my 89.No air,no pre or cat, just the O2 sensor and then back with two pipe runs to the rear.
I have not yet installed a set of Eliminators but it seems all I can come up with that is on the same track as I had intended with everything else on back order.
Im a bit affraid to try them without anything else knocking down the sound. Are they baffled? I think they would be a plus but waiting to see a similar install before I try them

If you want to really make her happy get a set of Long tube headers and get rid of the resonator, then slip a set of your favorite mufflers in the back. It will sound very agressive, I assure you.
BTW - I have a LT1 exhaust system including cats that I need to get rid of if anyone is in the Maryland / DC area. Its got a lot of miles on it and the mufflers have already been cut out a long time ago and pipes welded in thier place. I used this exhaust for many years before going to a complete new system last year.
My 94 went from x-pipe and stock mufflers which I couldn't hear, to x-pipe and eliminators and it was really loud and I did feel a loss in power. It was too much and I like my vehicles loud. I put a stock resonator in place of the x-pipe and it made it perfect for me. Not too loud and I felt a little more low end power return. If you think the eliminators don't sound clean you will be disappointed with the x-pipe addition. Mufflers give a clean meaty sound, not open exhaust. The resonator does quite a bit more than you would think.
