86 intermitent starting problems
wondering if anybody has experienced a problem similiar to mine or can help identify it. Every once in a while (twice a month or so) the engine won't turn over. i replaced the starter last summer thinking that was cause. could this be a problem with the clutch switch, starter...... any help is appreciated.

You will need to hook up a test light to the purple wire going to the starter solenoid and see if you are getting power to the starter when it is not starting once you know this you will have a idea of where you need to look next. I do suspect the clutch safty switch. One thing you can do is next time you have a problem leave the ign. switch in crank position set the park brake shift it into neutral then pump the clutch pedal if this starts the car then you will have to look at the clutch safty switch if this doesn't help you will need to hook that light up and go from there.
