Ok, from what I can gather, the LT4 has better flowing heads then an LT1,has roller rockers, and a revised camshaft..and i think maybe some work done to the intake manifold?
Anyways, whats the skinny on its build up?
Can someone list the cam specs, head flow specs, valve size, spring height and pressure, compression ratio, etc etc etc?
Id like to know everything and more about this motor.Dont forget exhaust manifold size too.
:)
The LT4 is probably one of the baddest engines aside from a LT5 that GM has ever used since EFI Vettes...and probably very underrated in terms of actual HP/Tq.
Just want to learn more about em.
TIA.
Thanks for the info!I saved the sites for reference.
Im amazed that the LT4 has 240 cfm head flow..I always thought that would be a ittle overkill for a non stroked 350.Guess it works good eh?
Even the cam doesnt seem that radical..I have to say its a pretty good work of engineering.
:)

I was poking around the other night on Pace Pontiacs web site (www.paceparts.com). They list an LT4 motor "LT4 6300 RPM High Tech Bullet" (GM Part # 12371172) that shows 375hp @ 5500 RPM & 396 ft/lbs @ 3500 rpms. They also list pn's for all the components. Guess what, they are the same PN's as the stock LT4 in the Vette (heads, cam, valves, timing chain, crank, etc.). What sucks is that the damn thing is discontinued. It was using a standard HEI distributor. :(
I'd like to get other opinons on this also..................
