I personally don't mind reading a new thread about a subject of interest for me for the umpteenth time...........once in awhile there can be a fresh new take from somebody.
Then again, if the subject doesn't interest me or if I feel it's been beat to death, I just exercise my no click privileges

Before this gets further out of hand...maybe I can jump in and steal this thread from the newbie? I hate doing so, but I have a lowering question and I have searched a bunch of threads and I can't seem to find my answer. And, because this went from a question to a gang beating on the new guy with the attitude, maybe I can get it back on track.
My question is this....has anyone lowered the rear of their car using the existing transverse spring bolts? I was going to take mine off and drill a new cotter-pin hole down at the bottom. I would think that should give me +/- an inch of drop? Anyone done it?

Don't do it !! The bolt will break at the factory cotter pin hole.
Spend a few bucks and do it right.

From what I remember, there may be room for half an inch of lowering on the stockers. I wouldn't bother with a cotter key, some locktite and a nyloc nut are good.
