Stupid brake question??

Stupid brake question??
In most of the engine bay pic's I see, I'm noticing 2 brake fluid fillers on the master......whys my 86 only have one?

My '89 has J55 brakes, maybe that's why I have two.

I was thinking the same when I saw the photos too. I have one too on a 86.

General replaced 2 identical parts with 2 different parts. Makes it more difficult to install without breaking, less fluid capacity, less ability to diagnose front vs. rear circuit leaks or pad wear, and less redundancy. If you lose pressure in one circuit and it drains the reservoir dry, the other one won't have much keeping it from sucking air also.
I have no clue why GM did that. Obviously they didn't think it was a good idea either since it was only from 86-87.

I observe the same thing, mine got 2 and thought only 1 came in later year vettes. But car stops so who cares.
