I hear alot of people on the forum mentioning Flowmaster exhaust. Some say that it's ****, and some love it. I find it funny, that some of the guys who don't like it, haven't heard the system on a C4.
Anyways, the links below are my car with another forum member in his C4. My exhaust is as follows:Hooker 2149's/Hooker Y-Pipe/Random Tech Cat/Flowmaster Force II catback. The other C4 has a dynomax catback.
Both cars are 88's. Mine is a manual car, Dave's is a automatic car.
Thanks to HotRod90(Brad) for uploading the vid's. In my opinion. Flowmaster is a great system for someone on a tight budget. It was made out of aluminum, but saying that it has been on my car for 2 years, and no rust, and looks like new. I will be selling this system soon to put my true duals B&B 3 inch system on.
Anyways, Hope you enjoy the vid's. My motor is stock incase anyone is wondering(240rwhp/330rwtq). The car has ran a best of 13.6. For the mentally challenged mine is the black car. I gained roughly 35hp with the exhaust. If anyone else has some exhaust sounding vid's post em up!
I know a lot of people say they don't like Flowmasters, but I don't know how anyone can listen to these videos and not agree that they certainly sound awesome on this car.

Rick, your car sounds great too.
I agree with you on that one. I am not saying it's the best sound in the world, but it sounds good.

I have been with borla, flowmaster, monza, and Elims. I really like the straight pipes but its too loud, but i really like flowmaster F2 from TPIS i had in past, but magnaflow is growing on me these days.
Rick u sure like B & B its little bit loud but who cares, i saw one in vette show, they sound great.
Actually your dead wrong. I have bascially no reasonance with my Flowmaster's. On the other hand, my B&B will have reasonance I am sure. If your in the area, drop by Brandon. I will prove it to you. How does it feel to be wrong so early in the morning? Lets call you "post changer" from now on.

I'm not arguing that your car has no reasonance. In fact, I don't even know what that is, so I'll duck out gracefully.

I believe they are made out of steel. They are "aluminized" which I think is just some kind of rust-resistant coating applied to them.
I had Flowmaster mufflers on my '87. I thought they sounded nice. Your's sounds much raspier than I recall mine sounding, but you also have headers and such.
Both cars in that video sound nice, but they are different sounds. It's like anything else, different strokes for different folks.
My car has universal Dynomax mufflers swapped in for the OEM mufflers, the sound is not as raspy as your clip, nor quite as mellow as the other car in the clip. The resonance is pretty strong, though I guess there are cars that have it worse.
I had the exact same exhaust setup as 88black but automatic. I replaced the Force II's with eliminators. Flows sounded pretty good, but the eliminators are louder and more agressive to me.
