Default "85 with no spark & security light comes on

When I bought the car the engine was out of it. I replaced everything and installed a rebuilt motor. The drivers key didn't work and upon investigation I found that the pen was out and the anti theft switch is wasted. I put it back together but it's really old and it may not be turning properly. Can I just twist the wires together to get by or will that prevent the car from starting? The security light comes on and I have no spark. New coil, new mod., new TPS, new IAC and there is power to the distributor but no spark. Everything lights up and it cranks fine but upon test I see no spark. Will these cars still turn over with a bad computer? HELP!!!!!

Your problem of no spark has nothing to do with the alarm.

Default You are correct

Yes the no spark was due to the pick up coil being dead. No one answered me so of course I had to figure it out for myself. The alarm problem is still a problem that I would like to defeat. How do I do that? I can send you my private email if you don't want to post it on here for the public to read. For the cost of one of those dump lock sensors I can install an new alarm with kill switch and so forth so I just want to disconnect it and trash it with a very big hammer! Right now I cannot open the passenger unless it is running for fear of setting of the horns again. The plastic insert inside the switch wears out and then it only arms and disarms sometimes sticking at the worst possible moments of course. Both doors need to be cut but first I must know how to disconnect it without setting it off every time I open the door.

Default by the way

to reset the car so I could get it running again I had to disconnect the battery then hook it up again. Big secret I guess since no one told me.
