I have searched many threads on this, an posted a question in the drag racing section...I still don't know where I want to be. I had a D36 2.59 that I just swapped out for a D36 3.07. Happy happy joy joy.
Before I swapped the rears, the car sat with the wheels off set - the tops of the wheels were out farther than the bottoms (camber - don't know the diff between positive and negative). The car went great and squatted right down.
After the swap....I have adjusted so the camber is still there, but not nearly as dramatic as it was. The tops of the wheels are out a little more than the bottoms, but it doesn't look as stupid as it used to.
Where do I want to be? I like the way it looks right now. What if I set it to 0* camber - straight up and down? Or set it like a BMW so the bottoms are out and the tops lean in? That looks really stupid IMO...but I am looking for the correct adj.
there was a post on setting align. a while back if you want a little more aggressive setting this is for rear of car toe should 1/8" in. camber .50 neg. front should be toe/0 camber .25 neg. caster 5/7 pos.
I'm very mechanically inclined, however I have no idea what all of that means. Would you mind explaining it to me in layman's terms? I understand that measurements are measurements, but I don't know positive camber from negative, or toe in from toe out, etc...
matt cant help you on this one, i am sure if you take it to a align. shop they will know how to set car up using the numbers i gave you sorry cant be of more help
