Default Fuel line size?

What size is the steel fuel line (Feed) after the fuel filter and what size is the return? Thanks!

I know my 1984 has 3/8" supply, and 5/16" return, steel lines.

Are 3/8ths and 6an the same thing? If so what is the equivilant to 5/16ths? I'm tryin to figure out what size fuel line I need...

Same on my '95. There are no AN fittings on a C4 fuel system from the factory. W/o checking for sure, I'm pretty sure it takes a #8 AN hose to get a 3/8" ID.

where can I find an to standard fuel size equivilents? Is there a chart or something?

6AN is equal to the 3/8 size and 5AN is equal to the 5/16 size fuel line. You can go to Aeroquips website to see more information. Look under their "performance" line.

In 88 and up,GM switched to 3/8-3/8 for the lines,over the 3/8-5/16 set up seen in 84-87.

Are you checking the lines at the tank or at the fuel rail hook up on your car?

i'm sorry, I wasnt trying to confuse you. Its just how I always see fuel line sold by AN size, not SAE.
