Issues with my 92 - need some info
OK, just got back from a 1400 mile trip and noticed a few issues.
Some background:
Just replaced the opti with a Dynaspark, replaced water pump, plugs and wires. Replaced the coil about a year ago.
After a long run (90+ min), stop for bathroom and stretch break. Would start the car and it would die within a minute, or would run like crap almost like it stopped sending spark and then would catch again. Once I got up to highway speed and under 2K RPM it would run fine.
? ICM ? MAP ? IAC ? TPS ? - Any ideas????
Noticed when I got back car was pulling to one side under breaking. Should I do my own rebuild on the calipers (done it a few times on other cars) or get new calipers (car has j55 breaks)?
Where can I get rebuild kits?
Also does anyone have the part numbers for the radiator hoses?
The one from the WP to the "T" was weeping, I want to replace it soon.

One more thing I forgot - The fuel level sender is FUBAR. I stopped and it showed 4 bars, started it a few minutes later with 0 - thats right zero bars!!!!!
Any one know the section in the Helms that shows the removal and replacement? Should I buy a new one or try to "repair" the existing one?
Unfortunately the sending unit comes with the pump all together and can get pricey. To pull it out all you need to do is remove the gas door and the filler neck out through the top(no need to drop the tank). Most of the time the arm of the float seperates from the rest of the assembly. It's held together with cheesy plastic rivits, I just used zip ties to hold everything together and it works good. On the note about running bad, check the wiring around the front of the engine. Even the coolant temp wire on the front can act like a bad ecm. I hope this sounds sensible and not jiberish.

Barring any codes, I'd moniter your hot restarting problem with a fuel pressure gauge. I rather suspect that's where you'll find your problem.
Calipers aren't difficult to rebuild. Most any part store should have or be able to get the caliper kits. It could also be a brake hose causing the pull. Replace them anyway if you never have or don't know their age. They could very well be original.
