annoying screeching noise
when I back up, my drivers side frot wheel makes the most god aweful schreeching noise. It starts usually once I apply the brake. Mostly when I am backing out of a parking spot. People see a nice vette, and then they see me backing out and hear that horrible noise. What is it, how do I fix it? :confused:

Take the wheel off and check the brake pads. They maybe worn down to the wear indicator and your hearing the indicator rub against the rotor.

Sounds like you have my wife as a passenger :D :lol:
jack up one wheel at a time. Spin it and check for noise.
Also try to jack up the rear. Put gear in neutral. Spin teh wheels, check for noise.

Check your caliper bolts. I don't know why you wouldn't always be noticing a problem. I had one break on the right rear once. Everytime I stepped on the brake I got this horrible noise. Caliper was cutting the wheel. Didn't happened going in reverse though.
