Thanks for all the replies guys! I've been doing some more reading and I think I'm going to do the Optispark vent mod with a new cap/rotor and put in a new water pump with the weep hole drain mod here in a few months after I get some of this other stuff done. Seems to run fine for now.

I've pushed the red button - it doesn't eject or do anything cool that I can see (damnit.) How do I pull the side panels or dash panels or whatever to get to the cig lighter?

The battery is new, so I'm thinking alternator at worst. That's an easy fix. What's odd is it rarely does it; only when it's hot and in heavy traffic. No SYS light or anything though, it's just a minor hiccup.

I don't think the car was raced; seems fairly babied.

One thing I wasn't too keen on was when I popped the coolant tank cap it was solid green - almost like there was no water in it. Probably when I do the water pump I'll put a higher water mixture in (since I'm down south where it's pretty hot.)

The other thing I found was the battery fascia looks to be busted - like some nimrod tried to pull it off without removing the bottom bolt. It's not really noticable at least, and should be something I can fix with some fiberglass fairly easy.

This is easy. If you have the original owners manual to your '93, look on page 147 and it will tell you how to remove the shifter console plate. There are only 3 bolts to remove. This is how you can get to the cig. lighter and also the accesory wire plug. I used my accessory wire plug to power a Pioneer RF CD changer.

Here is a good "How to" for fixing the most likely cause of the problem, the pump bladder. First check to see if the switch and motor are OK. Look at front and bottom of your seat. You will see a black spring clip at the base of the seat well. With your fingers, pull this towards front of car and then lower it over the 2 retaining tabs. Then you can lift up the seat bottom. This takes less than 1 minute. Then put one hand on the motor, and press the button on the seat cushion and you should "feel" the motor click. If you listen carefully, you can also hear this click. If you do have a "click", then the motor and switch are good, so chances are you have a ruptured air bladder.

I do have the original owner's manual but not the FSM (yet) .. only had it a week so far!

VERY cool link you gave me Mike - that's good info!

I'm looking at Summit, thinking about getting the Taylor SS braided spark plug wires for when I do the Opti vent-mod and new water pump.

Also reading up on good things to mod in the EPROM as I have all that stuff. (I'm the original developer of the Prominator - wondering if I can cram one on there!)
