well…. another new member to the forum….
after reading, learning and enjoying it a lot, I finally have to ask a question in here…
I’m in the process of installing a remote starter and keyless entry. So far everything works fine… but: it starts, runs for a while and shuts off. According to I.C.-Dymnamics it may have to do with Vats ( which I don’t believe, because then (I think) it would not crank at all ) or the wire that has to be connected to either the tach or negative side of the coil, or wrapped around any spark plug wire. ( Spark Plug Wire doesn’t work .. tried that to.. )
Now, the white (tach) wire I’ve been trying reads 12.2 volts in “run” position, 13.6 with engine running. Still shuts off…. They say either tach OR negative? Which one is the other one?
What does the remote starter expect? A raise of voltage or so? What do they mean by tach OR negative side of the coil?
I posted a picture, maybe somebody can point at the wire, or give me another hint?
Thanks in advance!
