stuck gas pedal
I have a 90 coupe automatic. I start the vette in the morning not touching the gas, starts normally. Put the transmission in drive step on the gas pedal and it is stuck or bound up. Press on the gas pedal fairly hard and it breaks free, the rest of the day everthing is fine and normal with the pedal. The throttle cables, throttle linkage and gas pedal all move freely and are not bound up after the first push in the morning. Anybody ever experienced this, know whats wrong, and how to fix it? Could be excessive play in shaft bore causing binding of the blades into bore. Try moving the throttle shaft by hand before starting it normally. If it's binding, you will feel it.
