Need torque spec for 4 bolt bolt mains
I will be assembling my engine tomorrow and need the torque spec for the 4 bolt mains? The original engine was a 2 bolt and if I remember the torque for them was 65. If it helps the engine was from a mid 70s truck.

Make a quick call to your machinest. If he line hined the block, ask him what he torqued them to, and what he lubed the threads with. Duplicate what he did and the main bore will be as round, and straight as it can be. If the main bores are not freshly machined, 70 and 65 are the numbers I use.
