the LSX fits like a small block, i think i would build that one, more bang for the buck!!! it can be bored over 500 CI so it would be easier to get to 700hp "less HP per cylinder"

Racerx70cc is on the right track .I saw an ad for a shafiroff 434 short block for $4600 .Cant beat that for a foundation.Add some AFR Heads and you would be there.A little more than you want to spend.But it will get you there.

All the advice is great guys thank you. To keep things simple obviously converting my car over to a LT1 would be fairly simple that said would the 383 supercharged engine that Golden Engine Service has be capable of meeting my goals. This would probabyl be an easier install than going carbed but I am not sure in the long run it would save me any money. The more I think about it I would like to stay fuel injected if possibe. I plan to go to a couple of local engine builders this weekend to see what some of them have to say.
