Well I wanted to get a bigger throttle body but everybody told me no! Well now I want to remove the water houses going to it! I heard that by removing them I can get a little cooler air into my engine? Well I wonder if anyone has any tips on how to? Pictures would be great! I know there is two! One goes from heater house into the throttle body and the other one goes out of the throttle body into the base. Do I just run the one from the heater house directly into the base and just eliminate the throttle body?
It is really no big deal. Just pull of the hose on the drivers side of the TB and the hose on the other side and join them together with a small pipe and two hose clamps. If the hoses are different sizes, you can find an adapter used for washers that the pipe is necked down on one end.
Bypass kits from the catalogs are a waste of money. I just bought a longer hose and a hose clamp from Kragen. Instead of the hose going into the side of the TB, it now just goes directly to the neck at the bottom front of the intake manifold, "Bypassing" the TB. Done.
Well I performed that bypass this moring! I bought a hose at napa with a 90 degree turn that was like to feet long and I just cut down to size! Its was very simple and I can really tell the diffrence! Thanks alot to all!
