They "advertise up to 20 horsepower". In reality its about ten. Makes your cars accessories **A/C, alternator ect** run slower so it uses less power. I like the Mach "polished" ones from midamerica. I wouldnt use it and expect a big gain from them but it would dress up my engine bay a little.
I used the March system 8 yrs ago when i had all bolt ons. After 3 yrs the rubber damper seperated from the crank pulley. The gains were there at the track (stock 93, headers no cats, 4.09s, pullies 1.6 rr = 12.8 @ 111). Eventually I replaced them with the ASP under drive which lok liek a super quality piece in comparison.
Only downside to the march is the alternator pulley is small too so at idle the interior lights will dim as will the headlights etc.
got ya, i saw the ad of the whole system, looks schweeeet!
but i just checked out the setup for my 84 and it looks different. p/n
2046, the whole sys is around $1500. american
the 2046 sys doesnt do as much for me as the one on the ad cover,
that one isnt for my car i guess. bummer
After much research and gathering of opinions I have decided on the ATI superdamper with 10% under drive when the time comes. It's not cheap but seems to be the best.

THANX.
I just installed the March Power and Amp series on my 1989 along with a new alternator and belt. The combo works great. The crank and WP pulleys are black powder coated aluminum, and the little alt. pulley is billet steel. No cons so far and the car seems to rev a little quicker. Alternator output stays above 14.2 on my digital gauge while in motion. Very high quality parts.

BTW, $136.00 plus ship from Thunder Racing.
I have the same kit. Good quality stuff and I have been running them for about 2 years with no issues.
I have billet specialties brackets in my setup and I had to modify them so the holes would line up with the heads and block. So unless you have a machine shop handy stick with MARCH.

Thanks BADDUCK!!!
I just ordered myself a set a few minutes ago! That's the best price I've seen for these.
BTW - My understanding is this set comes with a new belt, although I could be wrong. Is there a source or p/n for a replacement belt? Do I have to get a replacement belt from March if/when I need it?

I picked up the 4425 kit from Summit a few months ago and it was slightly cheaper. It does not come with a belt. While looking at the 4425 kit at Summit they listed the correct Goodyear belt and it fit great. SOTP feels like more pull on the top end.

Mine didn't come with a new belt. The proper belt #'s are included with the kit. I got mine at NAPA.

Awesome! Thanks .
I'm excited - can't wait for these pulleys to arrive. It's almost the end of Corvette season up here so I'm hoping to install 'em and try the car before putting it away for the winter.

Small alternator pulley turns the alternator faster not slower. This should keep the lights from dimming at idle. I have had the March power & amp set for about 14 years, no problems.
