I had my C-beam out and when I reinstalled it the the movement in the tranny pulled the lower shift boot (the rubber boot below the leather boot) out of position. Now I have the center console apart and am not positive how the rubber boot is supposed to go back in.
Does it's bottom lip go over the opening/lip in the transmission tunnel, or the lip supposed to be turned up and seal from underneath? Also, there's a ~2" flap in the middle of one side of the bottom lip. Does that face the driver's or passenger's side?
