Default A/C help please

I'm about to change the compressor in my '94 (also drier and orifice tube) and want to see about anything before I do it. I went to Advance and bought one of their pre-mixed refrigerant/oil kits with the hose and gauge (that's why I bought it instead of the refrigerant alone since the stupid hose is $20 by itself). In any case, the thing I'm concerned about is whether the oil in it is compatible with the Corvette synthetic oil 12345923 that is called for on the sticker. The stuff I got is the Interdynamics Arctic Freeze (which has this big "Ultra Synthetic" note on the front). Anyone know if this will work? Also, any advice on putting a used compressor in and getting it to work? Thanks in advance.

You can change out the parts, but you must vacuum down the entire system before recharging with freon. Otherwise you will have air, moisture, and contaminates in the system and it either will not work or at best will not work well.

Yeah I got the system evacuated today. Does it need to be evacuated again? From what I've read the moisture is only a problem if the system is open for over 2 hours. I had aspirations of getting it open and closed sooner than that.
