Default Heads only for LT1

If I were to have my heads reworked for my 93A4 what kind of power increase could I get while running the stock cam ? I like the Factory exhaust and the smooth idle but I also want more power. I am running a 2800 stahl and a 3.75 rear and wondering if a set of heads only could pick up 30-40 rwhp or am I dreaming. I took the hoodstripes and hashmarks off my car and ditched the flowmaster exhaust as well.
I am hoping with a 100 shot and a set of heads I could have one hell of a sleeper with the bottle in the spare tire area. Thoughts ??

with the stock cam i think that much of a rwhp gain is a bit optimistic.if you are going that route i would have the porter concentrate on the low and mid lift flow numbers.a large percentage of any increase will come from there.with some 1.6 rockers and a good porting(i would want a baseline flow bench and one after on the same bench)i would guess 25rwhp is attainable.the hotcam is mild enough and some more hp to that.do it once and save the headache later.you already have the gears and stall for it.

Buy a set already done, have mine reworked, a set of aftermarket heads ??

Most of the time, putting your heads on a shelf and buying new heads are the most cost effective way to go.

A set of stock LT1 heads and rework those ? If you can do up a set of heads for me I'll get a set and ship them off to ya and you could bring them with ya for the install I have 9C1 caprice heads but I think those are steel. they're still on the motor,

I think the caprice heads are steel. I am not up on who has the best heads for an LT1. I would guess afr. I made the mistake of pumping a ton of money into a stock set of 113 castings. They worked well, but I spent too much money for minimal gain.

how much are you looking to spend? afr is great but they do cost. lookin into lloyd elliot, does an excellent job on porting stock castings.. also i would step right up to the hotcam atleast, and you can always keep it.. sleeper? its a corvette so i dont know how much sleeper means haha.

Yeah ya got a point there, maybe a sleeper among other Corvettes. Ain't going to fool anyone into thinking it's dog slow anyways. I am checking out the packages from lloyd elliot now. Thanks !!
