1986 Automatic

I recently swapped out a bad thermostat. Four days later I get a strong smell of fuel and a ses light with a code 33. She won't idle now.

Also, I have noticed over the last month a humming/whistling noise coming from aft cabin - I can't locate the sound but maybe its the fuel pump?

Vac hoses and wiring to MAF look good...however I was working in that viscinity when I did the stat last weekend.

Can anyone put all these "clues" together for me?

Thanks in advance

Unplug the MAF and see if it runs better. The whirrling noise behind the drivers seat is the ABS system. At 5 MPH after start up it runs and tests. You should hear it if you really jam the brakes as well.

Sounds like the relays. The good news is that they are only about $11.00 a piece. Mine has idled just great since I changed them.
