Tracking Down MISC Parts; Need Advice
Also, is there a connector between the block and the waterpump gears? Some sort of "shaft". Need one of those too.
Thanks,
Jake
LT1 water pump has a gear drive with a splined COUPLER that connects the pump drive shaft to the coupler to the back spline of the H2O pump to drive the impeller.
I needed one and could not find one....went to GM and it only comes with a pump assembly. Might see if someone went with electric pump and removed the drive gear assemble and has the old coupler.
Hope this helps.
Tom
The water pump drive shaft coupler is part # 10128334
I'm going to order it along with a melonized oil pump drive gear as soon as I can track down the part number for the Crank Position Sensor RELUCTOR
Jake
10456534 is called a sensor crankshaft
10190917 is the reluctor and the AC DELCO# 213-314
Thanks for the coupler number which I had but could never get one to come in frm the GM dealer. Was told it only came with the pump.
hope this helps

I just plugged in the reluctor part number into one of our sponsor's site - GMPARTSDIRECT.COM - and it popped up, so I ordered it. I also order the coupler and a melonized gear at the same time.
Now I have to wait and see if they'll ship them. I'll let you know.
Thanks much for your help.
Jake
Glad to be of help.....about a 2 months ago I asked a question about using the ROPE trick in the changeout of valve springs.
you responded and gave me the info and confidance to proceed with the parts upgrades. close to having the car running again.
That is the great benefit of the members on this forum.
Till next time
Tom
