Default Timing again????

Hi Corvette Dudes I have been having trouble with knock (not good ) I started at the timing I found the est conector broken????I found that with it not conected car runs the same is this the problem??? DA !!!!!!!!!! Do you know is this just another wire? conector looks over engineered can I splice it? thank in advance

why cant you just re-solder it, and use the same connectors?

It's just a single wire weather pack connector which you can buy at most parts stores...if the connector is bad replace it, you need to disconnect it for timing..and re-connect it after timing is set...so you don't want a permanent splice.
