Default Throttle body, cleaning

91 vette with TPI, what is the best way to clean the throttle body.
Should I use carb cleaner and spray inside the body? please advise

The best way would be to remove it and clean the IAC + bore/passage along with the bores and blades. Doing it on the car, spray and wipe what you can reach.
Don't use carb cleaner, get the stuff meant for throttle bodies.

with agent 86. Gotta use TB cleaner and take the IAC out and clean it.

Use the Valvoline Synthetic TB Cleaner. You can get it at NAPA, AutoZone and other auto parts stores.

Read the TechTips Section on this Forum. There's a good article that tells you how to clean the TB, IAC pintle motor and reset the base idle.

For the IAC motor gasket, you can buy them from the dealer, from auto parts stores or make one from a sheet of gasket paper like I did.

Be sure and dab a drop of motor oil on the backside of the gasket before bolting it back to the TB housing so you won't introduce a vacuum leak.

I'm a little new to this . what is the IAC?

Idle Air Contol, is a motor operated pintle that controls idle. 4 wire harness plugs into it and it is located lower passenger side of TB.
