Well, here's my .060 over 350 w/GM fastburn heads, Miniram and a mild cam. I was getting some spark knock retard in the 2500 rpm range and have since fixed that and have a much smoother curve. Torque peaks at about 3800, and is even over 300 rwtq at 2100 - that's usable power

This chart proves what I found, using 3.07's, when I had the MR the car did not pull to my liking until @ 4200rpm, from there it was off to the races, but in retrospect I wish I had moved up to a 3.73 or 3.90 gear with the MR and this was with the 4+3

With that said, the car went 12.5 at 115 MPH with a 2.20.. 60 ft time,, but I have a 406ci also.

I have used the MR, SR and now the HSR, so I can speak from experience and obviously, everyone has a differnt idea of what they like.

I sent TPIS an e-mail about their system and fuel kit but have not gotten anything back yet.

True. I have been in some cars with LTR as well. They are fun to drive.

My combo w/a mini is all around very good for a 350 ci., but I have been working/tuning on a friends 383 w/mini, small cam, 200 world heads, A-4 and a 3.55gear. This set-up is getting a rediculous amount of low end grunt. On a street tire (275x40) mashing the pedal from a 20 roll will melt the hides through 1,2, and 3. The car has no numbers yet do to finishing the tune, but I'm sure it's making some decent power.

LD85, verynice set-up, are they now selling the ***. to fit the c-4 or did you mod it. I know awhile back Jeb was modding them to fit.
Slalom4me,...no IAC port on the TB? I do see the the built in AF. LOL

daymn, don't know how I missed that thread (and excellent workmanship and well thought out I might add), as that intake has interested since it came out.

There is one, the lighting on the AF contours just makes
the port hard to notice in the original photo.

The Car is my weekend cruiser. It will see the 1/4 maybe 10 runs a
year and maybe 1 or 2 slaloms a year. I also use it once a year for
Holidays. The rest of the time it is 80% City and the 20% highway
trips of about 2 - 3 hours. I only put on about 3,000 kms a year on it
now.

I love torque, but I want some more HP and willing to sacrifice some
low end grunt for some more HP, but I also don't want to rev the
daylights out of it to have the extra HP. Looking for some more umphf
from 1,600 rpm and up.

Does 1 intake suit my needs better than the other. I know I have to
have the HSR modified. I believe the HSR will be a little cheaper price
wise than the Miniram. Also what cam would you use, and what size
TB on the HSR?

Any other suggestions?
cdnguyred88. Based on the discussion so far, what are your conclusions?

'Easiest to get' is perhaps not the ideal criteria.

In that scenario, the Holley Stealth Ram best meets the requirement.
Mopac down the street in Clgy has it in stock or can almost certainly
get it for you in days, along with the fuel rails and FPR. While I'm
a fan of the HSR, it needs extra attention/expense. No problem for
LD85, but your mileage may vary.

OTOH, while the MiniRam is perhaps less well-suited, it is a known
quantity. A phone call, a credit card, some routine mechanical work
and off-the-rack tuning will put one into service.

Waiting for a used Stealth Ram remains an option. It isn't for sale
but there is a brand new one in Edm.

Store-bought or converted single-plane (& dual-plane) intakes are
higher effort options. They can be bought or made if you are ready
to go that route.

I talked to guy running the HSR and cam and he said it woke up the L98 like you wouldn't believe.

But I wanted to hear the Miniram side before making any decisions.

The super ram is getting harder and harder to find, and the one's I do find are expensive. All the problems with not sealing right and such make me leary going that way.

I also have someone that can mod the HSR for me.

If you have a reliable source for the HSR C4 mod, I'd go for that!

Go with the MR. It's proven, and it doesn't need to be fabricated.
