It's time to replace my battery. I wish I could use the Optima, but I refuse to fabricate my Vette to fit in a battery. So with that said, is there another brand of battery that is simular to the Optima but with no top terminals? If not, what is the current GOOD battery out there. I know GM's batteries are junk as my son is always replacing them because the terminals keep coming lose.
Part number please. I've done a ton of research on the Optima batteries and everyone with a 92-96 has a problem getting it in there. It seems there are 2 solutions: to cut off the post or to notch the brace.
I need a new battery because this is the second one I bought and it has already started leaking. So any pictures, part numbers and info would be greatly appreciated.
Interstate batterys are hard to kill, I would say they are on the same level as optima but, half the cost. I will be trying braille auto 11lb battery when I need a new one, just for weight reduction
I did a little research on the Bosch Battery. They improved the terminal mountings and did something with the negative plates to reduce shorts. But they are made in Mexico. They seem a little expensive at $79.99 at Pep Boys. It's a 3 year warranty and pro rated to 96 months.
