bouncing front end
Guys I really need help with finding what is wrong with my front end. When I am driving and hit any bump big or small, the front tires bounce like a basket ball. Or when I hit brakes, the front end bounce and shakes. I have to ease into braking to keep it from shaking so bad. I put new shocks on it and still have the same problem. What do you think the problem could be? The car is a 1992 corvette coupe.

Sounds like a combination of two different problems.
Brakes and front suspension components.
Check the runout on the front rotors. Simply jack a front tire off the ground and using a pencil as a guide against the rotor, turn the tire and watch the gap between the pencil and rotor. OK, its not the best method but it will work to determine if the rotors are warped.
With the tire still off the ground, shake the front end and look for any looseness in the joints or pivots. There should not be any play, anywheres. Grab the front tire at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions and try to "steer" or rock the tire. if there is any "clunking" or noises this is not normal. Now grab the tire at the 12 & 6 o'clock position and rock the tire watching the upper and lower ball joints and A-arm pivots. Again, no play or looseness is expected.
So is this a high mileage car?

Our First Vette was a 86 Coupe with over a 100,000 on it. It also Bounced-- was the tires someone had put cheap ones on it. If you have balanced the tires {go to a different place than where you bought them} Hopefully you will be able to find the problem.
