Does anyone know where is the location for the Tach filter on a 1993 Corvette? I recently installed the performance ignition booster and the ASR Service light turned on. From my research, I need to bypass the Tach filter, but do not know its location. Thank you very much.
The Tach Filter is located in front of the passenger side cylinder head, It is made up in the same wiring harness that plugs into the ignition coil. Physical appearance of this device is a black plastic box with wires coming out of it. Hope this helps :chevy
Trace the 2 white wires from the coil into the wiring harness, you'll find a small cube, thats the tach filter.
Clip the leads near the filter leaving enough to reconnect if needed in the future, splice wires together back towards the coil.
If theres not 2 white wires you can search theforum for the right color, '92s are white
Good luck, Dave
