My buddy has a whole set of 24lb injectors off of a 92 LT1 that has been sitting for eight years without a single start. The injectors are all clogged. Is there any way to take them apart and clean them or to free them up? Will they work as a replacement for 19lb inj in my 90?
The flux capacitor requires more lb.s per hour   . I didn't see if you have a bigger cam or bored out block.......any internal dimensions been changed? Head work? Bigger valves?
With the larger injectors, you will need to be able to adjust the fuel pressure. Your Chip should also be adjusted for pulse length, so I am told. The only way to really tell if you have the right parameters is to dyno with a wide band fuel/air oxygen sensor measurement. Too Lean and you burn holes in your piston, too rich and you bog down at wide open throttle.
You can use them in your 90 but you'll need a new chip to change the injector size parameter. The other downside is that your fuel mileage computer will no longer be accurate. It will be off by the change in injector size. I found that out on mine just recently.
