Tire Recommendation -- 275/40/17
I'm about to place an order for tires from Tire Rack for 275/40/17s and was wondering if anyone had experience with Sumitomo HTR Zs. The price is right and that makes me a little skeptical.
Also, wondering about Kumho Mx/ASX and Avon M500/M550.
Any info or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I run the Sumitomo HTR ZII on my GS. Have had them for quite some time and they seem to be holding up very well. I think they may have a little more road noise to them then some other tires. As far as grip goes they are OK. I think you would get more grip out of the Kumho MX's. MX does dot come in the 315 (rear size) I need or I would have went with them. I am just a big fan of Kumho products.

A lot of the C4 guys in the Corvette club ran the MX's. They ran good wet or dry. I'm running the SPT's and they are great in dry and wet, they are better than the Firestone SZ-50's they replaced.
