When i bought the rims for my 89 vette i got a set of after market and the originals. the first owner had them painted white to look like the 88 collector edition. one of the rims went yellow for some reason??? but, my question is how do i get them back to the original look?

Paint stripper will take the paint off, then clean them up and spray a clear coat over them.
You could also sand them to 2500 grit and finish with aluminum polish, got to like polished aluminum.
I did that to my 90 ZR1 wheels, looks sharp.
