Yeah I have no idea of how I would port the intake mani!!! Sorry IM now as experince as other like you.
You remove the intake from the engine, and grind out the ID of the runners AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, for the ENTIRE length of each runner. CFI-EFI is right; most people don't come close to grinding enough, and never know it. The more metal you grind away, the more hp and tq your engine will make. You can't go too big (until you grind through a wall).
An air powered grinder w/aluminum grinding bits would work the best, but a "Dremel Tool" will work too. Just a LOT more slowly.
Once you've hogged the living bejesus out of all 8 runners, you bolt the intake back on, and tune it w/fuel pressure (at the regulator) to optimize perfomance, and drivability.
