I have a 93' that when the roof panels are on and tight, they squeak or creak as I go over bumps. any solutions?
This has probably been already addressed, but didn't find anything when I did a search.
On mine I adjusted the roof witch helped. Mine likes to have the back bolted down first then the front. Also I rubbed some dielectric grease on the weatherstrips, this also helped a lot.
.......try some dielectric grease on the seals for the top or even rub some bar soap on 'em......that'll stop it and the dielectric grease with help out the seals.....

I had the same problem with my 93. One of the forum members posted a tip on fixing the rattle. He recommended removing the trim panels, loosening the three mounting bolts on each bracket, driving around the neighborhood with the roof loose letting it kind of settle in place and then tightening it down. Once tight you then reinstall the trim panels. It does involve removing the sun visors. I tried it and it worked great for me.

Don't the front holes have to be lined up first? As in with the bolt started???
If you tighten the rears, and pull the top toward the rear, then you could pull the roof front holes out-of-vertical [plumb] with the bolts.
ed.:
Just saw this.
Makes sense as the Owner's Manual says to tighten the front first.
