I wouldnt do it. There is a gain in compression but the intake ports are generally smaller. Are the heads from a Camaro/TA by any chance? You'd have more luck with porting and installing better hardware on the ones you already have. However, the best choice is to go aftermarket where there are many many choices.

I believe the article you are referencing was in car craft and in that article they replaced standard cast iron 350 heads with a set of 305 vortec heads. The 305 vortec heads flowed more air then the standard 350 heads and they had a smaller combustion chamber. In that article the engine picked alot of power (approximately 50 HP).
