Default Mirror deflectors really help?

How noticeable are they in terms of wind or noise? Im talkign about those little deflectors every catalogue sells that go between the windeshield and the side-view mirrors.

I've heard good things from coupe owners who install them. They come stock on convertible models...

Yes once you add them you will quickly understand how effective they are.

I put them on and they do help a lot. I was warned before buying them to get the higher priced ones because the cheap ones are REAL cheap and don't match up with the mirror housing very well. I went with the more expensive ones and they fit great. IIRC, the cheap ones are about one-third the cost but you probably get what you pay for.

They came stock on '87 Coupes as well, are black, and are riveted into place. They reduce wind buffeting and "in your face" wind dramatically. I highly recommend them.

I just put the cheep ones on my 86 coupe. They fit perfect and look very nice on there. There is a lot less wind turbulence inside the car with the windows down and the top on and also with the top off. My wife noticed the difference right away. Anything that make her happy sure makes me happy.

I kinda like that wind in my face actually and if i dont feel like it i just roll down the passenger window more.. but i definitely understand the reasoning for wanting these if they work, that wind really whips in on these cars

Yuk. I want the real ones, not the fake carbon fibre copies!! The after market ones ive seen are not a mark on the Genuine GM pieces, and i doubt they would be as effective either just looking at them.

Mike. Did you think if they look good or not? Why do you want them? Going to the Bonneville Saltflats? I think they only belong on verts.

Don't get the thin plastic ones, they are garbage and when i test fitted them there was a 1/4 gap to the A-pillar.

If you do get some, get the oem style ones.

I've seen quite a few cars with them and I have to admit I kinda like the look. I like them without better but I do notice on the highway with the windows down the wind noise and buffeting seems to be directed at my face. I plan on leaving them black I think painting them body color makes the mirrors look funny shaped. Imo the c4 mirrors are the best looking mirrors ever
