I pulled out the AC/Heat Control panel due to the COOL button wasn't working in my 1989 vette. Couple people suggested I clean the contacts, but the unit looks sealed to me - HELP
All of the other buttons work (up temp, fan, rear defrost)
QUESTION: How do seperate the green section (back) from the black section (front) so I can clean the COOL temp. button?

I trimmed the plastic welds with an xacto knife. Be careful and when you're putting it back together, use some glue. I think I used goop!
Anyway cleaning didn't help for me and I had to replace the unit. You can have yours rebuilt/repaired. hope cleaning does it! good luck
