C-Link install accomplished!
Yesterday I got my 700r4 installed but left the back end of it held up by a jack. When it came time to install the driveshaft and c-link, I had serious problems lining it all up. The bolt holes were off at least an inch and a half.
So today I got the bright idea of jacking the back of the car up by the body and not the rear-end. This was the trick- It allowed me to move things around a bit more. I also lubed the c-link where it made contact with the tranny and rear-end, so it would slide around instead of bind. Within about a half hour of adjusting things around with a LONG screwdriver, I found the right placement and the bolts finally went in!
Not to want a hassle later, I used loctite on those bolts and the rear driveshaft bolts (7mm heads) as well.
Now to finish hooking up all of the accessories, distributor, radiator, gas lines, etc. on the engine...
I would love to hear this run by next weekend! Wish me luck!
