Default dtc codes H31, 33, 35 37

1996 52K+ miles.
I recently took a 75 mile highway trip - much longer than my usual 5-10 mile on weekends only and the service engine light came on during the trip back. I was supposed to bring it in for an inspection the next day too!
It took me a couple days to get the time to go through the manual but I did the bit with the paper clip on the OBD II port and saw the H31, 33, 35, 37 codes. On page 8D-6 of the manual that seems to indicate a bunch of short or open circuits or CCM internal open.
I accidentally cleared the codes but that's all there was. I started the car and the light and codes did not reappear but I didn't drive it around much.
1. Best guesses if was just a temporary condition?
2 Best guess on what it really means and what's my next step.
3. It doesn't seem like this should affect my inspection in any way - correct?
4. While in manual mode of the DTC testing, I couldn't get it to go past 1.7 to the 4.x, 9.x and A.x tests. ???

Thanks in advance.
