Default Another Melling question

I am confused. My 89 L-98 was rebuilt recently with M55 high volume pump. I don't race the car. It is a daily driver. Should I replace the oil pump to be safe? Does any one know the pan depth for a stock pan or the part number for a pickup to go with pump#10550 which is the Melling part number for the 89 engine? Thanks.

Question is, Do you occasionally push the car?
Do you consider your engine high performance?
Is an additional $85 (approx) worth the peace of mind?

Per Mellings info - the 10550 is a stock setup with a 25% increase in volume. Supposedly a lower pressure spring is included, but others have never recieved it.
Since it uses a standard 5/8" outlet you should be able to use a standard pickup. Recommend melling's pickup that bolts to the pump.

I would change it!!!!!!!

***** Just a quick note - Use a stud setup instead of a stock bolt for the pump

he is probrably alright if it looks like mine, here is a pick, it still had the high performance disclaimer in it, but this "new" pump, or maybe its old stock? maybe they changed back without telling anyone? im not sure, but mine looks ok.
